NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN FINALLY APPROVED FOR CONSULTATION

The Parish Council is pleased to confirm the Neighbourhood Plan has been approved by West Suffolk Council for formal consultation prior to it being adopted.

The plan and supporting documents can be viewed and commented on online at: https://westsuffolk.inconsult.uk/WithersfieldNP/consultationHome from 7th August 2025 to 26th September. Hard copies will also be available to view at West Suffolk House and the Mildenhall Hub. A copy will also be available at Withersfield Village Hall.

We would like to thank everyone involved in the Neighbourhood Working Party for their help and support in the creation and drafting of the Neighbourhood Plan, including; Ian Kinloch, Martha Oakes, Sian Gilligan, Parish Council Chair; Terry Rich, Cllr Frank Eves, Cllr Julia Korona, Cllr Philip Stiles and to everyone who gave their comments over the last three years that it has taken to complete. We will keep you all updated on the progress of the plan following the end of the consultation period on 26th September 2025 and the review by an independent examiner.

The final consultation date for the Regulation 14 plan is Friday 23rd December 2022

On 22nd October 2019 a meeting was held in the village hall for those interested in developing the Neighbourhood Plan for Withersfield, where we had a Senior Planning Officer from West Suffolk Council give a presentation and help with any queries.
